A Flip Book Marriage Proposal

If you have a lady who appreciate the arts and enjoys a very thoughtful and creative marriage proposal, then this is going to be perfect for you. I came across The Flippist on one of our social sites and immediately though that it would be an awesome way to propose. This can work for many types of women, but especially ones who are writers, illustrators, or just into all kinds of artsy stuff.  This creative proposal idea is not going to be a cheap one, but the cost of it is going to be well worth the look of joy on her face as she flips through it.

The basic idea of a flip book is that each page has an image on it.  As your turn from one page to the next, the image shifts in a very subtle way, showing movement, expression changes, etc.  The faster you flip, the more it looks real.  Many of the first cartoons were done in this fashion, so using a flip book is a true throwback to an era gone by, but modernized in a very cool and interesting way.  It will be something she can keep forever as a reminder of how you made her day very special and unique.  It is a pretty safe bet, nobody she knows will have been proposed to with a flip book.

Now that you have a better idea of what the flip book proposal is all about, let’s get brainstorming. Personally, I think you should use past experiences to build your book from. You have to keep the length in mind because of the cost, but the more story you can tell, the better it will be. I would start with the place you met and/or your first date. From there I would go to something special that has happened while you were together, whether it is her college graduation or her recent promotion, making it a special occasion for her adds to the book.

Pets are another thing that people share a fondness for and they help to bond people. The birth of a child is also something to include if you have been blessed with that as a life event. Shared hobbies are great ideas to use in your flip book as well. Haven’t you heard that people who _____ together, stay together? This is the perfect opportunity to put that phrase to the test.
